In 1999, the band released Mindfields and begin an extensive worldwide tour. After several weeks in Europe the band travels to Japan for sold-out shows. After a brief hiatus, Toto resumes their recording and releases their first live album entitled Absolutely Live in 1993. The album features a cover of Weezer’s song Hash Pipe as a response to the band's coverage of Africa during their recent tour. Toto's touring lineup includes drummer Lenny Castro and bassist Shannon Forrest along with keyboardist Shem Von Schroeck.
